Alexander has been learnng all sorts of new things lately! On the drive to MA this weekend he learned to blow rasberries. In the car he was getting silent rasberries, and by that evening he was imitating Daddy's lip trills and putting some noise behind it.
He's starting to develop a sense of balance - when he's sitting up holding onto my fingers, he will pull on them to correct himslef if he starts falling over. And he will attempt to prop himself up with his arms if I'm not holding him in a sitting position, but doesn't have the strength to keep that up for long.
He has started pushing his upper body up with his arms instead of just raising his head when laying on his tummy. He has also started to really love standing up as long as someone holds on to help him - he can do it for a decent amount of time before his legs get tired and collapse under him now.
He is working on rollong over - he likes it when I let him hold my finger and help to pull him the rest of the way over when he's trying to roll. And he likes holding onto my fingers and being pulled into a sitting position from laying down.
As I was writing the first part of this post, he was for the first time sittiing on my lap a looking at (and feeling, and tasting) his baby book all by himself, instead of having me hold it up for him to look at!
