This weekend Alexander went to his first ren faire. We went to visit friends who live in eastern Mass on Friday evening - Alexander handled the trip pretty well. As last time, he got tired of being in the carseat before we ran out of driving time, but he did as well as you can expect a 3 month old to do. And he handled sleeping in a strange place just fine once we got him to setttle down for the night.
Saturday we all went out to the fair together. The fair was a relatively small event, but lots of fun. There were some good performers to watch, and lots of boff combat. James brought his swords, and Alexander seemed ready to jump right in and help!
The fair was very family friendly - lots of small kids running around, and several other mothers of infants. I tended to run into the same women often, as we were seeking out the same shady spots to nurse in, so it got to be a very friendly atmosphere by the end of the day.
