In other major baby milestones, Alexander's cord fell off on Friday - he was 10 days old. That meant that on Saturday he could have his first real bath!

Alexander also got to spend some more time with his extended family this weekend - he got to meet his uncle Phil, and his granddad came down to visit for the weekend and help tackle some more of the post ice storm spring cleanup that was needed in the yard.

And we've managed to get the moby wrap figured out - Alexander seems to like it. (That's his happy face in the first picture, really it is!)

The cats are also starting to accept Alexander a bit more. They still won't come too close to him, but they are willing to hang out in his general area now, and will come to their humans for attention even if they are holding the baby at the time. They didn't run away when we decided to get this picture, for instance!

He seems so big and so tiny at the same time! And all of those expressions-- wow!
ReplyDeleteI am nearly at the 3/4 mark on his present... and it looks like it will go well with the dragon theme! :)
Such a cutie. Sounds like things are going well! I think we might be in town for some fraternity thing the weekend after our disney trip (like the end up April). If you guys are not drowning in visitors we would love to stop by and meet Alexander.

Courtney, feel free to come and stop by. We may even let tom hold the baby.
ReplyDeleteWow, James! Thanks for sending me this link. I've had a blast catching up on the winding up of the pregnancy and the delivery waiting game!! Way to go, Julie! Congrats to you both on your newest addition... The sleep-deprived blur will pass into a blur of chasing a moving object at high speeds... I hope that you enjoy every step of the journey there and beyond!
ReplyDeleteHe is gorgeous, can't wait to see him in person!!! Enjoy him. Love Memere, Aunt Cindy and Aunt Arlene ( Thanks for making Aunt Arlene a great aunt for the first time!!)
